Chant West today announced the finalists for the 2022 Chant West Super Fund of the Year award. The country’s best super and pension funds will be recognised at the 10th annual Super Fund Awards on 25 May, recognising excellence and showcasing industry best practice across 13 award categories
The theme for the awards this year is ‘Raising the Bar’. The Group’s General Manager, Ian Fryer, said “in recent times, the government and regulators have raised the bar for super funds with member outcomes assessments, heatmaps and the performance test. And for our 2022 ratings, we have raised the bar on the standard we require for a fund to receive our highest rating of 5 apples. In this year’s awards we want to highlight those funds that keep raising the bar to drive better outcomes for their members.
“This year, we’ve introduced a new award, ‘Best Fund: Responsible Investment’, to recognise the increasing importance of ESG issues to super funds and their members. We've focussed on how funds incorporate responsible investment (RI) considerations into their ‘core’ portfolios, including the incorporation of RI into the investment decision-making process, active ownership, advocacy, reporting and transparency to members,” he said.
